About Stacey

Stacey Stout is a longtime community leader, attorney, wife, mother, and public servant running to represent Minnesota House District 33A. Since 2016, she has served on the Mahtomedi School Board, including four years as Board Chair, working for strong schools, responsible budgets, and decisions that put students, families, and taxpayers first. Stacey and her husband, Tim, have been married for more than 20 years and are raising two boys. Proud to call this area home, she is ready to bring her neighbors’ priorities to the State Capitol.

Professionally, Stacey brings more than 25 years of legal, policy, and leadership experience.  Her career has required her to analyze complex issues, bring people together, solve problems, and make difficult decisions with integrity and common sense.  She understands that effective government requires more than good intentions – it requires accountability, transparency, fiscal responsibility, and a commitment to delivering results.

Stacey is running for the Minnesota House because she believes families and communities deserve a strong voice at the State Capitol.  She is committed to protecting quality education, making Minnesota more affordable, reducing unnecessary taxes and spending, strengthening public safety, and ensuring state government is accountable to the people it serves.

Throughout her career and public service, Stacey has built a reputation for listening carefully, asking tough questions, and working collaboratively to find practical solutions. She believes elected officials should focus less on partisan politics and more on solving the everyday challenges facing Minnesota families, businesses, schools, and communities.

Stacey and her family are proud to call the area home.  Married to Tim for over 20 years, the couple has two boys.  She understands the values and priorities of the communities that make up House District 33A and is ready to bring their voices, concerns, and priorities to the Minnesota Legislature.
