Minnesota District 43A, Stacey Stout For House of Representatives

Biography

Stacey Stout has had a distinguished career in public service. From 2005 - 2010 she worked as an attorney-advisor at the United States Department of Justice. During her more than five-year tenure, she worked with three Attorneys General. Upon her departure from DOJ, the Assistant Attorney General presented her a special commendation from her colleagues for her "outstanding service and dedication to the cause of justice".

After graduating from law school, Stacey worked for a member of the United States House of Representatives and then served as legislative counsel for a United States Senator. She covered a broad range of issues including; cyber security, judiciary issues, transportation, agriculture, energy, intellectual property, and telecom.

She currently works at the Minnesota Farm Bureau as the associate director for public policy where she is responsible for monitoring and advocating federal legislative and regulatory issues.

Stacey was a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar and studied at the University of Leiden in the Netherlands. She holds a J.D and B.A degree.

Stacey, Tim, Jackson, and Ethan
Stacey and her husband Tim live in Mahtomedi with their sons, Jackson (4) and Ethan (3). In her spare time Stacey enjoys gardening, volunteering as a Sunday school teacher at St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Mahtomedi and helping her boys with swimming lessons at the White Bear YMCA.
